Carolina Villalba und Paola Visca highlight the lasting consequences of debt and broader financial crises in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. In two of these states, Argentina and Uruguay, an advanced degree of semi-dollarization was an aggravating factor for the financial crisis.
