Jessica Britzwein and Aleksandra Balasinska studied the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) on civil society organisations in Germany and Poland. In a qualitative study, they investigated which functions civil society in both countries perform in relation to the BRI.Their study found that civil society organizsations in both countries have different levels of maturity and perform different functions.
