Abstract:

People value just conditions and in particular just decision making, because it helps them to achieve essential needs. Among these needs are the need for a positive self-perception, the need for control and the need for correct perceptions of the environment. Changes of the current status-quo threaten established routines of achieving these needs. Here conditions of justice can buffer the perceived threat by providing just decision making processes, just treatment, essential information and just outcomes.
